My Story

Hello,

I am fundraising for the Futuresense Foundation (FSF). The FSF is a small grassroots, international development charity that works with disadvantaged and rural communities in Cambodia, India, Nepal, Peru, Tanzania, and Thailand.

Their work includes delivering workshops and long-term programmes that provide communities support in the areas of education, health and livelihoods. This is especially important today, where climate change and COVID-19 have hit these communities the hardest. I am hoping to take part in the trip to Thailand in summer 2023.

FSF is also committed to sustainability and conservation, including supporting multiple elephant sanctuaries around the world such as the Royal Holloway Elephant Nature Park, planting trees in fragmented forests, and offsetting their carbon emissions to reach carbon-neutrality.

£1000 of funds raised will go directly to FSF, helping them to deliver programmes to disadvantaged communities around the world. The £995 left over will cover a 2 week project I will complete in Thailand. This includes spending a week providing educational support to children and their families in a remote hill tribe village, and a week working in an elephant rescue centre and nature park who rehabilitate elephants from the logging and tourism trade in Thailand.

By donating, you can contribute to this important work in an impactful way:

£5 enables FSF to send a learning pack to a child who cannot attend school

£10 enables FSF to deliver 1 workshop to 20 beneficiaries

£200 enables FSF to deliver a series of 20 workshops to cover a theme

Above are example donations - any contribution you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

Thank You
